Avalose podi is a popular teatime recipe from Kerala. Rice flour and grated coconut are the main ingredients used for making this dish. Avalose podi is a powdered recipe which can be served with sugar or ripe bananas and Tea. Apart from other teatime recipes, avalos podi can be stored for long periods in an airtight container. Roasted raw rice flour, grated coconut and cumin seeds and Jaggery are the ingredients used for making this dish. The presence of Cardamom provides a unique taste. Back when the bakery recipes were not popular, avalose podi was commonly used as an evening snack in Kerala.
